Kim Simonsson

Kim Simonsson is an award-winning sculptor who explores the innovative potential of ceramics, transforming traditional materials into uniquely textured sculptures. He is best known for his life-sized, moss-covered figures of children and animals, brought to life through his signature use of nylon fiber to create a moss-like surface. Simonsson’s works have been exhibited worldwide in both solo and group exhibitions and are part of prestigious public and private collections.

Artistic Vision

Simonsson creates characters that exist in a parallel, mystical world, blending fairy-tale elements with influences from comics and video games. His sculptures are hand-crafted from ceramics and are coated with neon-green nylon fiber, creating a mossy, otherworldly appearance. His figures evoke a mix of vulnerability and eeriness, telling a story that is both incomplete and intriguing.
