In a world increasingly focused on sustainability, textile art is experiencing a renaissance, proving that innovation and tradition can go hand in hand. Rademakers Gallery is thrilled to announce our participation in Art Rotterdam, where we will be showcasing an extraordinary collection of textile artworks. This year, we are presenting a selection primarily created by female artists, all of whom work with reused materials and push the boundaries of craft, colour, and sustainability.

“We are seeing a shift in how textile art is valued in the contemporary art world,” says Pien Rademakers of Rademakers Gallery. “Collectors and museums are recognising the craftsmanship, storytelling, and environmental impact behind these works. It is no longer just a craft, it is fine art.”
The tactile nature of textile art invites engagement, drawing viewers in to explore textures, vibrant patterns, and the stories of each piece. Many of the works on display celebrate sustainability, crafted from repurposed and upcycled materials, offering a fresh take on contemporary design while respecting traditional craftsmanship.
We warmly invite you to experience these works at Booth K1 during Art Rotterdam. Join us in celebrating the art of textiles, where innovation meets sustainability and tradition is reimagined for the contemporary world.
Art Rotterdam runs from March 27th to March 30th at Rotterdam Ahoy. Do not miss this chance to witness the future of textile art!
