Rinske van den Heuvel
Rinske van den Heuvel is a Dutch product designer based in Utrecht, known for her playful and interactive designs. She graduated with a BA in Product Design from ArtEZ University of the Arts Arnhem in 2023, and also holds a BA in Humanities from Utrecht University. Her work explores a playful interaction between different materials, textures, and colors, aiming to make people laugh and connect through her designs.
Rinske's designs often feature bold, unexpected twists that invite the user to engage and participate. One of her most notable projects, "BEADS connect to play, play to connect," showcases this approach by allowing users to create their own necklaces using large, colorful beads. This project, showcased at Dutch Design Week 2023 and Object Rotterdam 2024, encourages adults to reconnect with their playful side while sparking meaningful conversations through the use of playful tasks and questions
