Kelly Konings

Kelly Konings is a textile designer based in Sweden, specializing in 3D whole-garment weaving and jacquard textiles. With a strong foundation in fashion and textile design, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands, followed by a Master's Degree in Textile Design from the Swedish School of Textiles at the University of Borås. Her work reflects a deep exploration of the intersection between textiles, craftsmanship, and cultural history.

Her design practice is known for pushing boundaries in textile innovation. One of her standout projects, Hybrid Forms of Dressing, involves weaving 2D textiles that can be draped into 3D garments, a technique that reimagines the relationship between clothing and fabric. This collection earned her international recognition, winning awards such as the H&M and ELLE Circular Fashion Award 2023 and receiving nominations for prestigious accolades like the Dorothy Waxman International Textile Design Prize.

Kelly’s work has been showcased at major fashion events, including Copenhagen Fashion Week, Stockholm Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week.
