Rotganzen
Rotganzen
Simone Post (*1990, Utrecht, the Netherlands) is a Rotterdam-based multidisciplinary designer whose work has become a vital part of the Dutch design narrative. Known for her visionary approach, Post reimagines the future of design by transforming everyday materials into extraordinary objects. With a foundation in textiles and a deep passion for material experimentation, she explores the potential of discarded or ordinary items, pushing the limits of traditional design thinking. A 2015 honors graduate from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Post has quickly garnered attention for her bold use of color, texture, and print, creating vibrant, tactile works that challenge conventional perceptions of form and function in Dutch design.
Concept and Vision
Rotganzen aims to blur the lines between high art and everyday objects, infusing familiar items like disco balls with deeper emotional resonance. Their work is not only visually striking but also rich with cultural commentary, often reflecting on the passage of time, nostalgia, and societal change. Their intricate use of color and materials contrasts with the simplicity of their forms, creating a balance between conceptual depth and visual playfulness.
